Here at Children's Cottage, we offer continuity of care from birth to pre-school and beyond, building a sense of community between children, teachers, and parents.
OUR LEARNING SPACES
We believe that every child will flourish in a comfortable indoor and outdoor environment filled with nature and art, free access to learning materials, and many opportunities for movement and creative expression. We believe that a child's play is their work, and we protect their right to work and build their understanding of the world around them through hands-on exploration.
OUR EMOTIONALLY RESPONSIVE CARE GIVING APPROACH
We believe in following a child's lead. This involves a primary care giving approach and individualized routines guided by the infant's own teacher being carefully attuned to their needs through thoughtful observation and consistent touch/interaction. We use gentle sleep practices, encourage breastfeeding/attentive bottle feeding, and practice baby wearing as desired by parents and babies. We also help children learn to express their emotions and to listen to the needs of themselves and others.

Hours of Operation: 7:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday
We are open year round, and enroll throughout the year. We serve children from birth through age 3, and also offer art and exercise classes for all ages including adults! Please call or click here to learn more!
We accept Changing Tides, Coast Guard Subsidy, and also offer partial work trade or business trade options. We have two partial scholarship programs.
